The Turtle Island Scholarship: A Daley Water Equity Community Award Logo on a Business Card.
The Turtle Island Scholarship for Water Equity will allow the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative to work directly with Indigenous communities in Canada and the United States. This program works to ensure that all communities have a seat at the table for issues facing their residents involving climate change, water infrastructure, economic transformation and more.
The logo design encompasses the program’s mission and values and the name by using familiar turtle and water shapes to tell the story.
The water drop shapes in the turtle-shaped logo’s hands and the water landscape in the shell illustrate the water equity focus of the scholarship. The blue and green values create a seamless integration with the GLSL cities brand while also referencing the ecosystem.
The logo design was created in both English and French versions and are currently being used in the development of this program.
